Darlinghurst Strata Painting Work
MIW recently completed a remedial painting project for a Strata Building in Darlinghurst.
The wet walls were suffering from salt damage and causing the paint to peel off and look unsightly.
MIW followed the specification from Barrie Cooper of Westox to solve the problem.
The solution was to strip the failed coating with a non-caustic citrus stripper Delam 100.
We engaged Premier Pointing to remove the salt damaged mortar and replace with an improved Westox mortar.
The walls were coated with a water-based epoxy system – WB30.
Finally, the walls were painted with a decorative paint in Weathershield Low Sheen.
Colours were specified by Katrina Hill.
The clients were delighted with the result!
