MIW paintback

Last Saturday Men in White returned 100 litres of paint to a temporary Paintback collection point located at the local Bunnings in Alexandria. Only a quarter hour drive from Randwick – Very convenient and it made us happy that  such a progressive system exists for disposing of excess paint.

The staff were very friendly, helped us unload the paint, and said thank you.

Paintback is a cost-effective solution for households and trade painters to remove unwanted paint and packaging. It is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, and is funded through a 15 cents plus GST per litre levy on eligible products.

It is not widely known, and is relatively new.

Normally the collection centres for Sydney are Glendenning (Cleanaway, 8 Rayben Street) and Liverpool (Community Recycling Centre, 99 Rose St).
