Metro Theatre, Potts Point restoration
Restoring the old art deco Metro theatre at 30 Orwell Street, Potts Point was a challenging but very rewarding job.
Designed by Bruce Dellit in 1939 and previously known as The Minerva Theatre, it hasn’t had a thorough painting job for over 30 years.
In addition to the poor condition of the services, it was very difficult to access.
The narrow streets around the theatre meant that we could not use scaffolds for mechanical bedrooms. The only method we could use was rope access.
We’ve put together a video detailing the job and revealing the final result. I hope you enjoy!
