Winter 2009: Men in White was involved in the restoration of the Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club Look Out.

The finished product.
The look out was restored in 2009 by the Waverly Council; new copper roof installed, and the vertical ply panels replaced. The building was fully scaffolded.
Men in White was responsible for the restoration of the remaining plywood and all the timber work; both inside and outside.
The look out is fully exposed to the weather: sun, salt, sea spray, rain, and wind.
The exterior plywood and joinery was sanded back, washed with Intergrain Timber Reviva, prepared with a coat of Intergrain TSS Mouldpreventer, and finished with three coats of Intergrain UltraDeck. More details at the end of this post….

Exterior Clear Coating System:
Preparation
Plywood soffits and all exterior joinery.
- Abrading with 80 grit sand paper on Festol Orbital Sander with attached vaccum.
- Treat mould with bleach.
- Wash with Timber Revivia.
- Apply coat of TSS MouldPreventer.
Deck and supporting structure:
- Rinse, apply Timber Reviva, scrub, pressure wash.
- Apply coat of TSS MouldPreventer.
Clear Coating System
Apply coat of TSS MouldPreventer.
Three coats of Intergrain Ultra Deck.

Abrade with 120 sand paper.
