Plaster ceiling resurfacing – North Strathfield

Men in White recently resurfaced an old plaster ceiling in North Strathfield.

We removed the brittle unsound paint, filled the gaps and applied a thin layer of polyester fabric called Crakgon.

We painted over the Crakgon and created a strong flexible skin that will accomodate movement in the plaster ceiling without the paint cracking.

We cut the Crakgon to fit around the embossed details and to cover the flat areas. The light switch photo shows where Crakgon has been applied to a ‘call and cut’ around the switch like wallpaper.

The ceiling is now restored and will last a long time before cracking.

The ceiling has been fully resurfaced and looks great:
